Director: Nikki Behjat
Screenwriter: Nikki Behjat

In modern-day Iran, Zarina, a journalism student, heads to a park to meet her boyfriend Kamran, but things take a turn for the worse when she encounters trouble due to her head covering. Now, Kamran must find the missing Zarina but faces obstacles of his own.

I created this animated film for my thesis as a response to the recent events that have happened in Iran. In addition to talking to many of my family members and friends who have lived in Iran, I have also spoken to many Iranian artists and filmmakers to ensure an accurate and realistic portrayal. By using animation, I aim to tell a story that is not often told within this medium and to craft an emotionally resonating film that authentically portrays what is happening in Iran.
