A voyeuristic look on how an Iranian women is dancing a 14th century “pray dance” in an Iranian desert honoring the four elements.

Fire was of supreme importance in Iranian rituals. In ancient Iran, fire was considered a deity and highly sacred element.
Here the ātaš/Fire is represented by the sun.

Air/ḥawā that represents intellect is the wind in the dancer’s dress.

The earth/ḵāk or foundation of life is the desert and
water/āb element is connected to wisdom, intuition, and fluidity in Iranian culture.
