Drawing from personal encounters with my mother,’Fereshteh’ reflects the daily struggles of modern Iranian women, particularly mothers, as they age. This narrative short film defies Iranian cinema norms by portraying a woman’s private life authentically. Minimal dialogue mirrors her solitude, highlighting the search for purpose amidst mundane challenges and loneliness.
