The exchange of handwritten letters between characters, with one writer seeking connection at home and another searching for their own place to call home.

Home is formed from our connections and shared experiences, memories and feelings. This story follows a series of letters sent between a character and his grandparents. Initially mundane, these correspondences take on a whimsical and comical quality as the words come to life. The characters, driven by memories and a longing for a feeling of “home”, seek refuge in these letters. As they find new experiences on foreign soil, the envelopes provide a sense of security and the comfort of home. This project draws inspiration from the artistic styles of Sir John Lavery, Studio Ghibli, Persian Miniatures, and the natural beauty of Ireland and Iran.
