Stories of Solidarity, part II: We Dance

Festival Year:
Director: Atoosa Moshashaee
Producer: York University, ArtAtoosa Media and Marketing

Longline: An artist in diaspora calls dancers to perform with a song composed by an Iranian singer and song writer, to stand in solidarity with the people affected by the October 2024 conflicts in MiddleEast.
Vision: As Iranians, we stood in solidarity many times. I started the series: “Stories of Solidarity”, to capture these stories. The first episode, We Sing, captures how we sang in the protests to be echo of Iranians whose voice has been silenced for decades.
And the stories will be continued.
Standing in solidarity among the Iranians has been tremendously outstanding during these years. I have lived in Canada for 8 years and no other nation has stood this firmly and continuously for their homeland. I wish to be able and have the financial resources to continue capture the artists in exile, how they contributed to our culture, outside the borders.
Thank you for your attention.
